Micro SD Card Slot

4G LTE

Software

Android 2.3.4, HTC says that it will be updated to ICS “early 2012”, which sounds like 1st Half.

Sense 3.5, which adds several great features to the base Android OS.

Verdict

MHL port consolidates HDMI and power, but I don’t think this is a feature. You have to buy an adapter to output to your television. My EVO outputs (once rooted) using a standard micro HDMI cable and I have the option to charge the phone while using. An MHL port requires you to charge the phone while using the HDMI-out feature. This reminds me of the G1 which had the headphone and power ports consolidated into one.

The screen is great, none of the Pentile grainyness.

Beats audio headphones included is a great marketing strategy, whatever you happen to think of the headphones themselves.

This phone is the ultimate convergence of the Incredible and G2/Thunderbolt HTC designs and I couldn’t be happier!

The geek in me says don’t buy this when you can get the most up-to-date version of Android directly from Google with the Galaxy Nexus, but if that isn’t important to you or you just don’t like Samsung then I highly recommend this device!

source

In my opinion, all you need to read is the official Sprint press release on the matter:

“The DOJ today delivered a decisive victory for consumers, competition and our country. By filing suit to block AT&T’s proposed takeover of T-Mobile, the DOJ has put consumers’ interests first. Sprint applauds the DOJ for conducting a careful and thorough review and for reaching a just decision – one which will ensure that consumers continue to reap the benefits of a competitive U.S. wireless industry. Contrary to AT&T’s assertions, today’s action will preserve American jobs, strengthen the American economy, and encourage innovation.” source

but the FCC’s official statement is also a good read:

By filing suit today, the Department of Justice has concluded that AT&T’s acquisition of T-Mobile would substantially lessen competition in violation of the antitrust laws. Competition is an essential component of the FCC’s statutory public interest analysis, and although our process is not complete, the record before this agency also raises serious concerns about the impact of the proposed transaction on competition. Vibrant competition in wireless services is vital to innovation, investment, economic growth and job creation, and to drive our global leadership in mobile. Competition fosters consumer benefits, including more choices, better service and lower prices. source

So if not AT&T, who will buy T-Mobile?

Apple

Google

Regional Cable Company or a consortium (Comcast/Time Warner/Cox)

Wind Telecom, a Russian wireless company that owns carriers in several developed countries. They also have the benefit of owning a wireless company in Canada that operates on the same spectrum and technology that T-Mobile uses.

Your guess is as good as mine.
